In creating CHOOSE YOUR STORY, Lauryn created a character card based off V. She wanted to cater all of the different lifepath designs to V's pan points so that it truly felt like V's style reimagined. She first decided that V's style was genderless, since the character can be made either male or female in the game. V focuses on functionality and practicality over looks, which would in turn had to be balanced with each lifepath's fashion movements, values, and mottos. V also has to have durable clothing, since she serves as a mercenary. Due to her forgetfulness, she also desires effective storage units so that she can store her weapons. Access to her cyberware is also important, which resulted in many sleeveless designs that could be effectively layered. In addition to the pan points, V's style has also been influenced by Johnny Silverhand. His punk-rock style, comments, and story interwines with V's in the video game. It was only fitting that Lauryn influenced some of these punk themes in each of the designs.
