In Space Research class, students were to draw 6 sides of their rock. Then, they were to cut the sides out of cardboard and construct the sides together. The model had to consist of exactly 16 planes, and Lauryn combined different planes into one to meet the assignment's criteria. After creating the cardboard mold, Lauryn casted in feather palm wax. After the wax hardened, she deconstructed the cardboard mold and pulled out her wax model. Lastly, she took pictures of the rock intervening the environment and shifting the context of the sculpture.
